Transtex Composite Sues Ridge Corporation for Patent Infringement

Transtex Composite today filed a claim for patent infringement against Ridge Corporation in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

TRANSTEX COMPOSITE SUES RIDGE CORPORATION FOR PATENT INFRINGEMENT
MONTREAL, February 17 2012 –   Transtex Composite today filed a claim for patent infringement against Ridge Corporation in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.  Transtex Composite alleges infringement of eight patents related to aerodynamic trailer side skirt technology:
US Patent No. 7,748,772 – Resilient Aerodynamic Trailer Skirts
US Patent No. 7,887,120 – Aerodynamic Trailer Skirts
US Patent No. 7,938,475 – Aerodynamic Skirt Wheel Interface
US Patent No. 7,942,467 – Aerodynamic Skirt Support Member
US Patent No. 7,942,468 – Aerodynamic Skirt Securing Mechanism
US Patent No. 7,942,469 – Aerodynamic Skirt Panel
US Patent No. 7,942,470 – Aerodynamic Skirt Opening
US Patent No. 7,942,471 – Aerodynamic Skirt Support Member
Transtex Composite seeks injunctive relief against the infringement as well as enhanced damages.  “Intellectual property is something we take very seriously as we believe breakthrough innovations will occur only if IP rights properly protect significant investments in research and development,” commented Patrick Beauger, Executive Vice-President at Transtex Composite.   “Products infringing on our patents are being sold and we are taking action against such infringement.”
